I never knew about the youtube screening section but I find myself wanting to watch more videos than the one I just watched.
I watched Sister Wife, this pulled at me, following the show quite a bit on TLC called Sister Wives. She is talking about growing up in a poly family and she was invited to marry her biological sisters husband to create their own poly family. This sister has no feeling of love or passion for this, man she is marring him and she find herself bottling her negative feelings up. These sisters are sharing a man and rotating him every night with what sister he is staying with. She tries to describe her feeling of watching her husband, which is also her sisters husband, kiss another woman knowing that she can't make that stop.
I have never personally understood this lifestyle as something I would want for myself but I do see the benefits of it. There is constant support system raising your children but in saying this all wives have to be unity and agreement to make this type of marriage work.

19. WB Tour!
The WB Studio, is by far my favorite tour that we have seen! I love seeing movies when they first come out, but the museum is my favorite. Being able to go in and see actual props and costumes would be amazing! Next time my husband and I go to visit my in-laws out in California we HAVE to plan a trip here to see everything!
18. Weather Channel
I have to say that I like the weather channel tour set up a little more. This tour is more interactive, if you are not interested in looking at the work desk you do not have to. I love the way there is more details about how the back ground screens work and how the decorating (walls and carpet) are actually environmentally friendly. I would expect nothing else from a weather station to be a green place, but all the aspects that are able to be considered green surprised me.
17. New York Times
I have to say that I have never had an interest in New York Times, but looking at this video makes the building itself more appealing. I love the garden in the middle, seems like a great place to have lunch to to sit and have a conference call to stay focused, or even to just sit there for 10 minutes to refocus yourself. The view is also amazing! If you were lucky enough to have an office that high, it would be relaxing to come in to that everyday!

16. Studio Tour
Blue Jay - I am no impressed with this website at all. If you are trying to sell and promote your studio online, I think you need to have appealing graphics. When the tour of the studio plays that pictures are overlaid with graphics that are in the way.
Soho - This site is so much compared to the first one I looked at! Everyone that would be involved in the media being produced is listed on the site and what they are specialized in. There is a list of client which means that you would be able to listen to their works to make sure this producer is who you want to work with.
Radio Ready - My first and only thought about this is that its on Myspace... No one uses this anymore and you may want to find a different media site to get your business out there.
Pachyderm - This the most informing studio site. There are lists of what equipment will be used and not only are there pictures of the studio but an actually floor plan is provided.
After going through all the studios there provided I think I would still chose Soho. There are is alot of information and you are introduced to the staff before getting there in person! It seems to be more professional as well. Pachyderm would be my next choice of course!

15. State of Media
The percentages that are noted in this site are not surprising to me at all. I know that I personally do not pay for the newspaper. The only reason we recieve it is because in Derby, Ks there are certain issues that everyone gets. If I want to see what is going on, I follow up with the Kake and KSN news pages on facebook. Social Media is taking over the world faster than I think most people realize. Here is Derby it is nice to be able to get the local news only in our paper but in a bigger city like Kansas City, the paper is insanely overwhelming every morning.
Here are some stats that really jumped out to me while reading over the provided website.
- Newspaper went down by 33%
- Presidents are using Social media more now during Campaigns
- 54% of users get their news via their phones

14. Ethical Decision Making
I have always considered myself to be an ethical person, but until you really have to sit down and explain what you would do in a specific situation you almost have to reconsider how ethical you really are. Something that comes to mind when reading the Privacy section with the heading of Naming a Rape Victim, part of me says yes release the names and pictures lets get this kids back home, but the other part of me is wondering if the attacker sees this is he/she going to continue to abuse this child. This is also a question that needs to be asked of the parents, do they want their name and pictures released publicly or just to the authorities. This is a very sensitive subject that has to be handled this way. In the provided story the child was recovered and her attacker was arrested, but is every story going to be this lucky? Are we going to have copy cat attackers? If we release this picture will the child endure more?
The questions provided are great questions that need asked but so do mine.

13. Internet Safety
Do we really need these games? Why are not able to just restrict our children from sites till they are mature enough to know right from wrong. The sites that I have found are for really young children ages 3-7... Why is this age group even allowed on the computer with out supervision? I can see having games on your phone or computer just for them, to them busy at a restaurant or for education but not for this type of safety.
If you as a parent do not have the time to teach your children the safety yourself, you do not have the time to get them set up on a computer. There is no reason that this age group should ever be left alone with technology.
Children that are just set in front of a computer or tv all day will become to understand that you want nothing to do with them and take this to heart all to easy. I am not saying that this is true for every time you see a child with a game.

12. Censoring
I personally can NOT stand how much the government feels that things need to be censored. Leave it up to the human race to decide what we will listen to and what we will allow our children to listen too. If it is not listen to it will disappear in time and no one has to deal with it anymore. The members of our government also have the same choice that we have it what they watch and listen to. This is one reason why my husband pays for Sirus radio for his car. Our favorite station is the Jason Ellis show! He talks about anything about everything. He does a lot of talking about sex and drugs but that is okay. If you do not want to listen to it you DO NOT have to!!
I do have to say though the only thing that I do agree with is that TV stations are restricted from playing sexual content in the show or commercials until have 10pm. This is after most children are in bed and can not stubble upon the content that they are not mature enough for yet.

11. Green Screen
The most simple way to describe a green is a show, movie producer or photographer is able to place this screen behind the actors or clients and use a software to replace the screen with any image possible!
I love the idea that I found while researching a little bit. A photographer can use this with their clients to transform the photos. Take the same pose and put you on a beach, in Paris, or on the moon! I love it!
My favorite show that has used is.... This is hard because I never knew how many hows use this method until I watched this video.

I am not sure I can really say what my favorite is to tell you the truth. I do love Tosh.o though! I am sure I have a much better favorite but with out knowing what shows truly use a green screen its hard to answer this one.

10. Movie Review
I have to say that I have NEVER been a fan of black and white movies. This is the first silent film that I have attempted to watch and my first observation that is really bothering me to no end is that the music does not go with the movie. They are having a fight on the train on the train makes it sound like they are dancing and its just so happy that the scene no longer makes sense! The next major event in this film is what gets me even more, the robbers are not just robbing they train, they have turned to the passengers. It looks like a less gory version of Schindler's List. Passengers are being striped of their possessions and then killed after. There is no reason for any of this, but if the thieves were going to take their items they should have stopped their instead of taking lives as well. I do not understand why anyone find this entertaining.

9. Blockbuster, NetFlix, Red Box...
I am 90's kids and I always grew up going to the store. Blockbuster, Hollywood, video or Dillions is where we went. My sister and I would walk to the Dillions that we could see from our house and rent movies in the summer while I was babysitting. When I moved and lived with my grandparents we never really rented movies from any location until I showed my Nana red-box Her and I would need a chick flick fix every now and then so we would run over to the closest McDonald's and get a movie!
My current choice is the Red Box but at the same time I NEVER remember to take it back so after 25 days your account is charged for the movie, that you know own. We own several Red Box movies. But my husband and I are currently contemplating Netflix. Its only $8 a month and it be accessed straight from our new smart TV. So when ever he is away on business I can just go downstairs are watch what girly or re-watch my favorite episodes of One Tree Hill without even leaving house!

8. Radio Shows
After attempting to listen to a couple of the radio shows that hardest thing for me to listen to the whole without getting bored or restless. Maybe if I was cleaning the house or driving I would be able to sit still long enough. Another thing that kinda gets to me about the older shows is the radio voice, there is just something about the sound that drives me insane! There are only a couple that I am even able to listen to now. In the mornings on the way to work I listen to The Bobby Bones Show, I love the stories on here and now that they are going to be a country morning show it makes it even better for me! When my husband is driving we always have Octane on in the car on sirus radio. We are always listening to the Jason Ellis show, they are able to talk about every topic no matter how controversial it may be. The only time I listen to these shows is if we are in the car, I couldn't imagine only have the shows as my only entertainment.
7. Itunes or Napster
Ever since I was given an IPod Nano for Christmas, iTunes was the only thing I was using due to that being the only thing that Apple is compatible with. This is just one more way that Apple is trying to take over the music market. iTunes was relativity easy to use but you were always paying for something. I would just use the CD's I have to add to my library to add to my iPod.
I have actually never used Napster. I do like that it is a flat monthly fee for music, but at the same time I do not think that we need to keep buy single tracks to have on an mp3 player of any brand. We will pay for it, get tired of it in a couple weeks and just have to buy more. Yes I do think this is part of their plan but I will do it!
My personal favorite is one not in the original question... I have used LimeWire to find all my music. Once you do download something there are certian settings you do have to be careful, with out setting them your library will be somewhere that other people are able to download from, in turn increasing the chances of a virus. This is where I used to get all my tracks from and never once got a virus!

6. End of Paper?
My favorite part of the newspaper is the of course... THE FUNNIES! The best ones were always on Sunday because they were in color. Over time my family stopped buying the paper or even worrying about having it except for the Sunday issue. The Sunday paper was for the funnies and for the coupons each week.
With being a generation of a fast growing technology market the paper forms are things are slowly dying. My grandparents still get the paper copy but I do know currently pay for it. For current events I want KAKE news or KSN for the most part, I am not interested in paying for something that will not get read. With ipads, kindles and phone being full internet capable now there really is not a need for the newsPAPER. We get our funnies from TV or facebook and our coupons are on all major sites as well.

5. Banned Books
The most shocking thing to me about the banning of books, are some of the reason given in which to get the books banned..
Diary of Anne Frank - depressing
Harry Potter - witchcraft, cults, satanism, death
James and the Giant Peach - Says the word Ass
Snow White -violence
I grew up watching Disney movies and listening to my family read these books, to have them banned really bothers me. James and The Giant Peach was a favorite movie growing up because of the humor, the insects and the way this little boy was creative enough to think up a way to escape his crazy aunts he was forced to live with. The only reason a child is going to mentally spin these stories into the violent, satanic, and offensive is because the idea if being brought to their attention. When a child is that young they do not care about the different ways Snow White and the 7 dwarfs could be violent.. They see a girl singing in the woods and falling in love with her prince!
The reasons for people banning books like The Diary of Anne Frank, are crazy! Yes this book is depressing, it was not written to be happy, it was written to share a story of what this family went through. No one should be treated like they were in the war, but if you do not teach of children about this, we are doomed to repeat it.

4. Poor Richard
After searching through a couple sites this quote really stuck with me...
Success has ruined many a man.
This not only is for men, if anyone lets their own personal success go to their heads to far it will ruin you as a person, your work relationships or even your family. A success does not just have to be work related which is what I initially thought, but this could be meeting a weight loss goal. Something that some one else may see as a goal that would not affect much, but to the person that has lost the weight and has gone through all the pain and hardships, this goal is the world. If a person lets losing weight go to their head this could ultimately ruin your friendships or other relationships. The way weight loss changing the way your view your life can be amazing, you are now seeing yourself how others have always seen you, but once you finally feel the same way, you will never be happy with who you are. On the negative side of weight loss, you are given this new found confidence and you may head up letting this confidence go to your head and you could start pushing away everyone that supported your at your worst AND your best.
Success is always positive, until you let it go to your head. You as a person need to stay grounded and true to your own morals, but matter how small or big the success.

3. Social Interactions
When the question is stated, Does media take away from "real" social interactions, I never thought that it did. When I think of social medias such as, Myspace or Facebook, communication comes to mind first. This may be the only way someone is comfortable being themselves. I know I can say more of what I am thinking if I am chatting with another person or sending them an email instead of actually saying things in person. I hate being confrontational so an email is almost better, because both parties are able to react and then step to think about how to respond, instead of reacting in person and over reacting.
We all need people skills, but I think people are almost more open and honest when they are talking online because they do not leave as judged. We are unable to see facial reactions unless on a web cam. In the case of a web cam the social media is turned into personal interaction.
The case can always be made that social media has hurt of capibility to speak to people in person but this is not always true. As long as we do not let our lives be consumed by the way you speak online just in small talk, it will not affect out face to face time. You wouldn't go to a business meeting and instead of laughing you said, LOL... This would not go over well I am sure. But I believe that we are fully in control of how far we allow media language to blend into our everyday lives. I will also always stand up for social media, due to me meeting my husband online. Media is what brought us together and keeps us strong when he is away on business.

2. CBS
love of storytelling, clear vivid language and respect for history is important
This CBS News cast mentions that printed news papers will soon be erased by media being so relevant is our lives. I think this is true to a point. I think the printed paper will defiantly become less frequent. I do not see the need for a printed copy to be delivered everyday, maybe just the Sunday paper. My family always paid to the paper every day but we really read the Sunday paper for the "good" comics and for the coupons or as my grandma says, for the grocery money! With all the apps on phones and the internet, I do not see the need for citizens to be paying for something we read online 9 times out of 10.
Storytelling never gets old no matter how old you are. We grew up being told or read stories, whether it was Dr. Seuss or life stories from family members. Even now at 22 years old, I love to here stories at our family reunions about the things my mom, aunts, uncles and grandparents did when they were growing up.
As for history, that is a whole different story for me. I see the need to learn about history, but I have never been interested in history besides WWII. Yes, kids need to be taught history and proper language in school, but I think that unless you have a desire to learn history, its not easy material to learn.
Overall, I believe media is slowly making the need for paper copies disappear, but that is not our only way of finding out what is going on around us. If it were, then I think we would have an issue.

1. Media Junky
Until you really stop to think about it, I don't think any of us really understand how much media and technology have over come our lives. When I have to stop and think about it when ever I get up in the morning, home from work and before bed to relax I am on my computer whether it be for facebook, school, music, email or my new pass time or pinterest which takes hours away from my day if I am not careful! Even at work though, everything is based from technology. I am always checking emails, waiting for updates to sales or marketing and calling other stores for customers looking for sizes in something that we do not have for them.
Our phones have made media so much easier to gain access to as well. After taking the media quiz it said I was an average user. If I think about how many times at work or out running errands that I check my phone it makes me wonder what the average really is., Is the average that we are all addicts to social media now due to facebook and twitter? If this is the case I believe that we need to become more aware of our usage and change the meaning of user average!
